Riana Milne started the By the Sea Singles Networking Group in March of 2006 as a way to meet singles in the South Jersey area for herself and her single friends. She was tired of taking a night off of work, driving over an hour to a Phila. city location, paying $20 to park, and go to a party that only had 12 - 15 people....and that charged $40 a party! She thought she could provide a better, friendlier, and more economical service for Singles and decided to start a group in the southern NJ area.
Also being a Psychotherapist, Riana had a lot of "Singles in transition" coming to her counseling center for help and coaching on "how to get back out there to date" after a long marriage, negative divorce, or death of a beloved partner. She wanted to create a "safe and friendly environment" for Singles to meet other Singles for friendship, and possible dating that could lead to an Exclusive relationship. Also, always being the avid businesswoman and being involved with many networking groups, Riana thought Singles should help promote other Singles in business and support each other by trying their businesses first. So a business-networking element has always been an important part of the group, and promoting your business and handing out cards is highly encouraged.
At Riana's 6th Singles Event, which was held to celebrate her newly released book, Watch Me! The Bold, New Motivational Attitude for Personal Success; a motivational blueprint to reach success in all life areas for those going through hard times; Riana met her fiance, Jim Rhoads. So her 6th Singles Event worked for her too! Jim decided what Riana was doing was such a good service for Singles in the area, that he joins her as "Co-Host" and often enlights many discussions with a "man's point of view." So together, they have been motivating and encouraging Singles to meet for friendship and more for close to 5 years.
After taking training to be a Certified Singles Coach to add to her Pscyhotherapist license and Marriage & Family Counseling experience; and after three years of hosting just "social events" Riana saw that many of the Singles still seemed "stuck" and needed more intensive education regarding becoming their "best selves" and needed to take the time to really evaluate what type of partner they wanted at this stage of life.
Thus, in October 2009, Riana started the Coaching/Social Events for Serious Minded Singles. This Educational Coaching series is based on a year of training from The Relationship Coaching Institute, of which you will see many tips from the books, articles, newletters, audios and educational series on this site! Also, being a former Model & Talent Agent and School owner (three-time International Award winning Model & Talent School), Riana does Individualized Make-overs and wardrobe advice - boot camp style!
Since starting this Singles Coaching model, many of the Single attendees have met for dating, and are now in serious dating relationships! Each individual is starting to shine - becoming more confident, focused on individual change for inner and outer beauty, and excited for their futures. After the hour and a half of education, the members eat, drink and socialize - then they usually go out dancing at a popular upscale restaurant that is noted for "Singles nights" on Wednesday. Jimmy and Riana lead the dancing, and the group members really have a chance to unwind and have fun getting to know each other even better.
As of February 2010, we had the Spring series of Singles Coaching classes, which ended in May, 2010. Riana took some time off for the summer and fall, to get this new web site together, and reflect on the next move she wanted to make to bring this Singles Group to a even higher level.
Meanwhile, over this time period, many Singles took advantage of individual Singles Coaching, either done by web cam on SKYPE here on this web site - or in Riana's professional office in Egg Harbor Township. She found that those she coached individually really excelled in meeting a great match in record time - and loved the process of doing so, and at the same time, changed their image to look fantastic!

As it suggests, it is an Exclusive, Selected Group (by the Board of Directors) of Successful, Upscale, Attractive Single Professionals looking for business networking, friendship, socializing and meeting others of the same for possible dating and long-term relationships.

Screening you ask?? YES! Since all the horror stories of meeting married men and women who lie terribly or have criminal records on online dating sites that Singles have tried for years with minimal success and much distress - Riana has taken steps now to KNOW and MEET and CHECK on every Single who will be attending the Socials. 1) There is now an Application Process for EVERYONE - even those who are on the list from before, or attended a prior party over the years. Here is what is needed in your application package:

A Professional Business Resume, including Educational & Professional Degree or Training Certificates, Honors, Job history, Business groups, Personal activities

Two Professional Letters of Recommendation, written on Company letterhead

Copy of your current Drivers License that shows proof of age and residence (members are to be from the ages of 30 - 65).

An Attractive Beauty or Professional style Head shot (no glasses or hats so we can see your pretty eyes!)

A Long-shot photo in a flattering cocktail dress, business suit/jacket and slacks on a fairly clear background (no jeans, shorts or swimsuits; no children/pets in pic).
Both Photos will be placed on this web site, in the Singles section, with a summary paragraph as to who you are, so please choose photos you will be proud of. (The Board has the right to request different photos).

2) Our Board of Directors will meet once a month to choose new Temporary VIP Members, then Riana will contact them directly to start the Enrollment process. You do NOT pay a Fee for the intial application process. We will contact you when we have enough EQUAL numbers to begin the Group. You must sign an agreement that you allow Riana to do a Criminal Background check and a Tri-Score Credit check - no information will be shared with others, her discoveries will be held in strict confidence, and placed in a locked drawer within her professional Coaching office. This process is for the protection of both our female and male members. This is a similar check that any employer would do, and is included in the membership fee.

Once passing the Criminal Background check and Credit Check (must have a Tri-score of at least 680), Riana will phone you and tell you that you have been selected to be a VIP Member and set a date to meet you in her office for your Professional Coaching session for 45 minutes (included in Members price, and mandatory before you can attend a party). You will be handed your membership card at that time.
Should you not pass either the Credit Score check or the Background Check, your money will be refunded, less the fees required to do the two checks and a $50 Processing fee.
- The Coaching session includes gathering details on the type of person you hope to meet, creating your paragraph describing you for this VIP Singles Web site of Members and our Newsletter, Riana's suggestions for any image makeovers (she was one an Internationally-award wining Model & Talent Agent - who prepared her models for International competitions); Dating Do's & Don'ts, and other suggestions to help you be your best self. Being a Successful Single and Finding a Quality Life Partner will be emphasized.
At the Conclusion of the Coaching Session, you will receive your VIP Membership Card.
